Hybrid Systems was engaged by Guidera O’Connor for the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of a hybrid renewable energy system for the Water Corporation Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) located at Meekatharra, in the remote Mid-West region of Western Australia.
The system can operate as either grid connected or as an islanded off-grid system and included a 115kWh BESS, 303kWp of Solar and 2 2 x 200kVA Diesel generators. A key benefit for Water Corp includes the ability to disconnect from the grid and operate the system in hydrocarbon off during sunlight hours reducing both carbon emissions and costs.
